Douglas S. Schapiro has been with Koch & Trushin, P.A. since its inception. His practice is focused primarily on commercial litigation, employment law, religious discrimination, and corporate litigation. Douglas also handles a wide array of legal matters including appeals, arbitration, family law, bad faith insurance claims and personal injury.

Douglas received his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, in 2007 from Nova Southeastern University Law School and was ranked second in his class. Douglas was on the Dean’s List every semester he attended Nova Southeastern, all while working full-time at this law firm. Prior to law school, Douglas was an entrepreneur founding two businesses in South Florida. Prior to his business career, Mr. Schapiro acquired a varied educational background earning a B.S. in biology, B.F.A. in motion pictures, and a B.A. in history.

Mr. Schapiro has been active in our community; he served as a mentor for H.A.N.D.Y. (Helping Abused Neglected Dependent Youth) for three years. Mr. Schapiro also served on the City of Hollywood Civil Service Board and volunteered in the emergency room at Hollywood Memorial Hospital for one year.
